ALEXANDER TECHNIQUE IN ACTING – in-person, Los Angeles

Mondays from 7:00 pm-9:30 pm (PST)
June 5 – July 17, 2023 (7 weeks)

This class focuses on the application of the Alexander Technique to acting, movement, voice, and character development. Open to beginners as well as professional-level actors and creatives; the classes will be taught in person, in a small group setting (20) to give individual attention.

Connecting to the body through awareness; recognizing the force of habit; improving movement by learning to organize body relationships; understanding means and ends; making clear choices of intention; infusing direction in your thinking and movement; improving breath coordination and vocal quality; freeing impulse and response patterns; applying the Alexander Technique to scenes, monologues, sonnets, and songs; learning to develop characters physically.
