Jean-Louis Rodrigue coaches Tatiana Maslany physically and vocally for “Mary Page Marlowe”

Jean-Louis coached Emmy Award-winner Tatiana Maslany, who stars in the BBC series Orphan Black, for her lead role in the New York premiere of Tracy Letts’ Mary Page Marlowe at Second Stage Theater.

During the month of April, prior to rehearsals starting in New York, Jean-Louis prepared Tatiana physically and vocally for the demanding character.

Obie- and Drama Desk Award-winning director Lila Neugebauer will direct the play, also starring Susan Pourfar, Emma Geer, Blair Brown, Mia Sinclair Jenness, Kellie Overbey, and Grace Gummer. Performances are scheduled to begin June 19th in the Tony Kiser Theater before a July 12th opening night at the Second Stage Theater.

SYNOPSIS:
If you looked back on eleven moments from your life, would you recognize yourself, or would you see a stranger? Mary Page Marlowe is a seemingly ordinary accountant from Ohio who has experienced pain and joy, success and failure. In this sweeping but intimate play, Tracy Letts gives us a haunting portrait of a complex woman, demonstrating how a series of forgotten moments can add up to one memorable life.
